- #### How much does a concrete patio cost in Philadelphia?
It comes down to size, the finish you want, and how much site prep the yard needs. A plain broom-finished square and a large stamped patio with borders are very different numbers. We give you a written estimate after we walk the yard, so it reflects your actual project.
- #### Stamped or regular concrete, which should I get?
Broom-finished concrete is the budget-friendly classic and fits any home. Stamped concrete costs more but gives you the look of flagstone, brick, or slate as one solid slab with no joints for weeds. We walk you through both and match it to your home and budget.
- #### How long does a concrete patio last?
With a compacted base and proper reinforcement, a concrete patio lasts 25 to 30 years or more through Philadelphia's freeze-thaw winters. Patios that crack or heave early almost always skipped the base work, not the concrete.
- #### Do I need a permit for a concrete patio?
An at-grade patio usually doesn't need a permit. A raised or structural patio, or one near a property line, sometimes does. We tell you what yours needs and handle the permitting if it applies.
- #### Can you resurface or extend my existing patio?
Yes. If the slab underneath is sound, we can resurface it or add on to it so the new and old read as one patio. If it's cracked through or heaved, we'll tell you straight that a replacement is the better spend.
- #### How long does it take to build a patio?
Most patios take a few days from demo to finish, plus cure time before heavy use. A large or stamped patio takes longer. We give you a timeline with the estimate.
