Excavation Contractors in Philadelphia

Excavation is the part nobody sees and everything sits on. APS handles excavation across Philadelphia, Bucks County, and Montgomery County, site prep, foundation and basement digs, drainage, and grading. Get it wrong and the foundation, the slab, and everything above it pays for it later. We dig to the right depth, grade it to drain, and compact it so what goes on top stays put. Licensed and insured since 2017 (PA #139378).

Excavation Done Right the First Time

Most foundation and drainage problems trace back to the dig. A footing that didn't reach below the frost line heaves in winter. A site that wasn't graded to drain sends water straight at the foundation. Backfill that wasn't compacted settles and cracks the slab above it. We dig to the right depth, compact as we go, and grade so water runs away from the structure, because fixing it after the concrete is poured costs far more than doing it right the first time.

When You Need an Excavation Contractor

  • A new build, addition, or garage that needs a foundation dug

  • Foundation repair that requires digging to the footing

  • A wet basement or yard that needs drainage and regrading

  • Lowering a basement for finished-ceiling height

  • A retaining wall, pool, or patio that needs the site prepped

  • Old concrete or a structure that needs to come out

How We Handle an Excavation

Assess, Locate & Permit

We check the site, call for utility marks (PA One Call), and pull permits before a bucket touches the ground.

Excavate

We dig to depth, keeping the site and surrounding structures safe.

Grade & Compact

We grade and compact so the base is solid and draining.

Prep for What's Next

We leave it ready for the foundation, drain, or slab to go in.
